Silverqueen Friday January 18, 2008 Silverqueen A fairly straightforward ad, the script called for a flock of cashews. However, the shots all ended up quite tight on the subject matter which didn't give the cashews much room to flock, and so an 'orbit' was made. Three cashew objects were made utilising a photo I found with a Google image search (too lazy to photograph one of my own of course). Fairly basic rotoscoping and compositing was done in Shake and final master was done in Flame. Though not technically required, I chose to light all the cashews using Final Gather, using the original 35mm footage as a source of bounce light by placing a sphere around the scene. Not terribly sophisticated stuff, but it gave the cashews a nice smooth gradient of light.
